Face to Face Behaviour  Consultations

A face to face consultation usually takes place at your home and lasts between 2 to 3 hours.
Following the consultation, you will receive a detailed Behaviour Modification Plan and follow up support by video/email/phone while you work through the recommendations.

Consultation Fee £100 includes report and follow up support
Any applicable travel costs will be as per T&Cs

The structure of a consultation is as follows:

  • Prior to the consultation I will send you a form to obtain key information.
  • The consultation will begin with us talking through your dog's background and the behavioural issues which you are experiencing.
  • I will then spend time working with you and your dog, including outdoors if appropriate.
  • I will then advise what I believe is the cause of the problem behaviour and my recommendations on how to reform the behaviour.
  • I will provide a hands on demonstration of any recommended training so that you can begin to work on the behaviour change straight away.
  • I will ensure that you are comfortable with the tools and techniques to be used and that it is practical and achievable for you and your dog.
  • Before I leave, I will check that you are clear on my recommended way forward and answer any questions that you may have.
  • A written Behaviour Modification Plan, including diagnosis and recommendations, will follow by email.
  • Follow up video/email/phone support is included in the fee so that I can monitor progress and if necessary, modify the plan.
  • Further home visits can be arranged if required at additional cost.

If you have a dog who is reactive to other dogs, I use one of my own dogs as a "stooge dog".  A stooge dog is a trained, calm, and confident dog used to help reactive dogs learn to associate other dogs with positive experiences. We create managed interactions to desensitise your reactive dog to the presence of other dogs and help to build their confidence.
